Tilak Kasturi is Predii’s founder and CEO. Tilak stands at the forefront of one of the fastest moving trends in the automotive and industrial sectors, predictive big data. Tilak is an innovator, entrepreneur and an engineer with over 20 years of enterprise software, enterprise big data and applied artificial intelligence experience. Prior to founding Predii, Tilak was co-founder and CTO of Radion, Inc. (based in Cupertino, CA), a radiation oncology big data-based software company that manages complex cancer treatments. He was also an executive at iLoopMobile, where he led product management and strategic sales activities which were instrumental in closing substantial strategic sales with large enterprises. Tilak has held other noted positions including, Venture Technologist for a $100M B2B corporate venture fund (KPCB, Bain, TPG) and Chief Architect for Time Warner interactive TV platform.
Tilak holds several degrees including a BS in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, (India), an MS in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.Tilak is passionate about supporting non-profits; his feeling is that it is a vitally important social responsibility. Tilak also loves, cricket and world travel; a personal goal of his is to visit all of the wonders of the world.
Josh has spent the last 15 years in the digital space. He founded and sold several businesses as a young entrepreneur, before becoming head of products & services for the Hyperfactory, which became the most awarded mobile agency in the world. He was responsible for building their platform which helped an exit to Meredith Corporation in 2008.
Josh moved to the US from his home in New Zealand, where he has held roles in product management, strategy and business development for major media companies, including Disney, Verizon, and a stint as the head of products for Turner Broadcasting, working on the international launch of CNN Go.
In recent years, Josh was head of product development in the innovation lab of MTV, launching several new products and platforms, and performing strategic planning for the C-Suite. He has also become sought-after as a management consultant for high-tech startups, assisting CEO's during their business growth efforts.
In his spare time, Josh does volunteer work, including having spent several months in Greece helping with the Middle-Eastern refugee crisis in 2015/16. He is also a competitive olympic weightlifter, currently learning Mandarin Chinese, and training to be a pilot.
Aniket Dalal is the head of Predii, India, our chief architect and a sitting board member for Predii, India. Aniket has over 12 years’ experience working to create scalable next generation artificial intelligence applications and is an expert in the areas of: natural language processing, statistical machine learning, big data systems, ontology-based semantic analysis and distributed computing. Aniket loves solving the toughest problems by applying artificial intelligence and coming up with simple, elegant solutions. Aniket was the founder of Semantic Labs, India and in recent years has worked as a machine learning consultant for tech-forward companies across the globe.
Aniket holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Goa University. Aniket is a published author of several research papers in international journals and conferences.
Aniket is married and a father of one. He is food enthusiast who loves to explore world cuisine. During his free time Aniket enjoys showing his German Shepherds at dog shows.
Hieu Ho is the director of engineering here at Predii. Hieu has worked in the software solutions field for over 20 years. Besides his vast experience, Hieu is distinguished by his passion for creating quality software and his commitment for meeting and exceeding client needs. Having worked in high availability, large scale enterprise solutions, Hieu brings innovative ways to establish serious scale to machine learning and Predii platform. He is an expert in Java, full stack web application development, web services, big data platforms, and continues to “tinker” in new technology.
Hieu’s educational degrees include a Master of Science Degree in Software Engineering from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, also from Santa Clara University.Although Hieu’s greatest joy is being a husband and father, he also enjoys camping and volunteering, and gains much fulfillment by counseling teens as a youth leader.
Babak Hodjat is chief scientist and co-founder of Sentient Technologies, responsible for the core technology behind the world’s largest distributed evolutionary system. Babak is an entrepreneur having started a number of Silicon Valley companies as main inventor and technologist. He was senior director of engineering at Sybase iAnywhere, where he led Mobile Solutions Engineering including the AvantGo Platform, and the mBusiness Anywhere and Answers Anywhere product suites. Previously, Babak was the co-founder, CTO and board member of Dejima Inc, acquired by Sybase in April 2004. Babak is the primary inventor of Dejima's patented agent-oriented technology applied to intelligent interfaces for mobile and enterprise computing – the technology behind Apple’s Siri. Dejima was one of only four private firms enrolled in the DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency)-funded Cognitive Assistant that Learns and Observes (CALO) Project, managed by SRI International and one of the largest AI projects ever funded. Babak served as the acting CEO of Dejima for 9 months from October 2000. In his past experience, he led several large computer networking and machine learning projects at Neda, Inc.
Babak received his PhD in Machine Intelligence from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. Babak is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the AI XPRIZE, as well as several other companies including Affectiva, and Predii.
Michael Becker is a co-founder and managing partner for mCordis, a mobile and connected marketing strategic advisory and marketing educational services provider. Michael is also the co-founder and managing partner for The Connected Marketer Institute, a leading marketing community helping the industry serve connected individuals at scale. Michael and the team at mCordis advise brand marketers on how to embrace mobile and connected marketing, advise AdTech & MarTech vendors on servicing brands through the mCordis Three-Tier Educational Marketing Framework, and prepare individual marketing professionals to be of service to connected individuals at scale.
Michael is a strategic advisor to Assurant Solutions, Predii, Phoji, FunMobility, and Privowny. He is on the board and president of the Personal Data Ecosystem Consortium and a trustee for Marketing EDGE. He is the co-author of Mobile Marketing for Dummies and a number of other books and articles. He is on the faculty of marketing of the Association of National Advertisers, Direct Marketing Association, the Path-to-Purchase Institute, and National University. Michael previously worked with the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) as both a board member and managing director, and he was the co-founder of iLoop Mobile, a leading messaging solutions provider. Michael was awarded the 2014 Marketing EDGE Edward Mayer Education Leadership Award for his commitment to marketing education.
John Redgrave is currently an angel investor, start-up advisor and CEO of a stealth start-up. John has over 15 years of experience in enterprise technology, start-ups and management consulting. He was previously COO of Lattice Data (acquired by AAPL), a machine learning startup focused on rapid knowledge base construction to fuel the next generation of AI applications. During his time at Lattice, John led the acquisition process, investor relations, business development and operations. Prior to Lattice, he served as Head of Strategy and Operations at Palantir Technologies where he helped the company grow from a 200-person company valued in the millions to a 2000-person company valued at $20B. During his time at Palantir, he built the company's healthcare vertical, led multiple commercial customer engagements, ran worldwide operations, and built the strategy capability for the company to identify greenfield opportunities and solve scaling challenges for Palantir and its customers.
John obtained his MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and his AB in Economics with honors from Brown University.
